adults Beginner jiu jitsu

This class is for anyone over 16, male or female. It will introduce you to the basic positions involved in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and it will familiarize you with the ways in which the art is taught and learned. It doesn't matter if you're in shape - you can go at your own pace. It doesn't matter if you have never trained in martial arts - Jiu Jitsu is accessible to pretty much anyone. A gi is worn in most beginner Jiu Jitsu classes, however there are occasional no-gi beginner classes. Check the schedule.

adults advanced jiu jitsu

This class is for blue belts and above and for white belts who have been training enough to know the basics and wish to expand their knowledge and the intensity of their training. Advanced classes mix technique instruction with drills, situational live training, and sparring. For students who compete, this class also provides instruction on the rules of tournament Jiu Jitsu and on the strategies and mental preparation required to succeed.

kids 9-under jiu jitsu

This class is all about having fun while learning the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Younger children (below age 5) need to be evaluated before being allowed to attend these classes - it's important that they have the attention span and self-control to follow instructions and participate without disrupting the class. Students are presented with techniques and are then allowed to work on them in fun and good-natured live training exercises. Parents can relax in the "cafe area" during class - there's free wi-fi and good coffee.

KIDS 10-15 JIU JITSU

This class is for older kids, so there's a little less focus on having fun and more focus on growing in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Like the adults classes, students will receive training on techniques and will then have opportunities to practice them in live training exercises. These may include situational training as well as sparring. Kids who compete will also learn what it takes to succeed in a Jiu Jitsu tournament. Parents can relax in the "cafe area" during class - there's free wi-fi and good coffee.
